Both films have isolated music and effects tracks: Miklós Rózsa's score (from which the famous Dragnet theme was appropriated) is featured on the former and Johnny Williams' music on the latter. In both cases the music is accompanied by sound effects and the volume level varies to accommodate dialogue.
